A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

What will I be doing: Support paralegals and attorneys to maintain and move large inventory of client cases, including scheduling and document prep Daily communication with clients regarding their case Request, receive, and review documents Enter and maintain case data using the case management system (FileVine) Assist with court filings, discovery, and certified mailings Organize correspondence and route to appropriate individual(s) Quality checks on documents, correspondence, and deadline tracking Requirements What we're looking for: Dependable and self-motivated Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Attention to detail
  • organized and deadline driven Strong verbal and written communication skills Client communication phone experience Resourceful and proactive
  • grasp new information Manage repetitive tasks consistently and accurately Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF Learn and navigate case management software
  • FileVine experience a plus Ability to manage a high volume, fast-paced, deadline driven environment Associate's degree, paralegal coursework, or similar experience preferred Relevant experience is helpful
