This role is ideal for someone who enjoys substantive legal work, can operate independently in a small-office environment, and is comfortable balancing litigation support, administrative coordination, and case management responsibilities. Candidates must reside in the Bay Area and be available for in-person meetings, filings, hearings, trial preparation and office support. Responsibilities ° Support attorneys in environmental, water, energy, land use, and related litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as administrative proceedings. ° Prepare, organize, and maintain pleadings, exhibits, discovery materials, administrative records, and case files. ° Coordinate court filings, service deadlines, calendaring, and litigation tracking. ° Assist with document review, cite checking, legal and factual research, and compilation of regulatory and technical materials. ° Assist with drafting correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents. ° Manage electronic and case files, including large records and agency-produced documents. ° Coordinate with clients, consultants, experts, opposing counsel, and government agencies in a professional and responsive manner. ° Assist with meeting, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation. ° Support general office and operational needs within a collaborative small-firm environment.
