Litigation Paralegal Location:
Tulsa, Oklahoma Position Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week

$55,000-$67,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications and qualifications, with the opportunity for additional year-end compensation under the Firm's current compensation structure. About the Opportunity Our firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Tulsa office. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience, excellent organizational and writing skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Team members work closely with attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality legal services while maintaining the confidentiality, responsiveness, and attention to detail our clients expect. Position Summary The Litigation Paralegal provides substantive case support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. This position assists with case development, discovery, document preparation, mediation, hearings, trial preparation, and case management. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple active matters, working independently within established deadlines, and collaborating closely with attorneys and other members of the legal support team. Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist attorneys with litigation matters from initial case development through resolution or trial. Coordinate mediations, depositions, expert witnesses, hearings, and other case-related activities. Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, deposition notices, subpoenas, motions, certifications, and other litigation materials. Assist with discovery, including organizing, reviewing, and preparing documents and information for production. Conduct factual investigations and legal research as directed by attorneys. Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties. Prepare and organize exhibits, trial notebooks, deposition materials, and other documents for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. File documents with state and federal courts and monitor applicable filing requirements and deadlines. Track case deadlines, calendars, and attorney assignments to support timely completion of case-related work. Accurately and timely record billable time in accordance with Firm procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client, case, employee, and Firm information. Perform other case-related and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of paralegal or comparable legal support experience . Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a litigation law firm environment . Working knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, discovery, and court filing requirements. Experience with state and federal electronic filing systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Preferred:
Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or at least 60 college credit hours in a relevant field. Paralegal certificate or certification through NALA or another recognized professional organization. Ability to bill hours timely and accurately Experience with Juris, PerfectLaw or other legal case management systems. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Successful candidates should demonstrate: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong legal writing, proofreading, spelling, punctuation, and grammar skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate professional judgment. Ability to organize complex case information and maintain accurate records. Ability to prioritize assignments and adjust quickly as litigation needs and deadlines change. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Professional and responsive communication with attorneys, clients, coworkers, and outside parties. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative legal team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to learn and effectively use legal technology, case management systems, and document-management platforms. Dependability and consistent attendance. Work Environment & Schedule This position is based in our Tulsa, Oklahoma office and requires regular in-office attendance with some remote work available.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8-hour workday / 40 hours per week Occasional schedule flexibility or additional hours may be necessary based on case deadlines, hearings, mediations, or trials.
