Job Description

Litigation Paralegal Harmon Law Offices, PC seeks a skilled litigation paralegal to assist its attorneys in representing local and national mortgage lenders and servicers in a diverse caseload of creditors' rights and real estate matters. The position offers the right candidate a great opportunity to develop strong civil litigation skills in a relatively short time by handling both plaintiff's and defendant's work in a statewide practice across three states. The firm is willing to consider and train strong entry-level candidates who possess a strong engagement and aptitude for the position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in managing high-volume and fast-moving caseloads of real estate litigation with a focus on timeliness, efficiency and obtaining the best possible and most cost-effective outcome for clients. Draft pleadings and documents including complaints, answers, service documents, motions and discovery requests and responses. E-File and serve court pleadings and other documents and maintain electronic archives of all case records. Communicate with clients frequently concerning the status of cases. Interact with unrepresented parties, outside counsel, court clerks and staff, the firm's vendors, real estate agents, private investigators, and other stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Required 0-3 years experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate or other types of civil litigation. The firm will consider and train entry-level candidates who seem to be a good fit for the position. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be focused, have strong multitasking skills, and be extremely detail-oriented. Computer literacy and being versed in modern office technology. The firm will consider full or part-time remote candidates with a demonstrated ability to work independently. Candidates do need have the ability to come to the office at least occasionally, as circumstances require.
