This role works closely with the attorney and plays a key part in keeping cases organized, deadlines met, and trial preparation running smoothly. The ideal candidate has prior litigation experience, is comfortable working in a small practice environment, and can manage multiple matters independently. This role is expected to support approximately 20 billable hours per week as part of a 40 hour work schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on responsibility, variety in their work, and being a true right hand in a thriving practice. Responsibilities Format and assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence Assist with drafting and responding to discovery requests Organize, review, and manage discovery materials and exhibits Prepare materials for depositions and trials (exhibits, binders, witness lists) File documents with state and federal courts (Illinois and Iowa) Track litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Communicate with clients regarding active matters and document needs Support trial preparation and hearing logistics Provide day-to-day litigation support directly to the attorney. Provide executive administrative support to attorneys as required; manage calendars and correspondence efficiently. Skills Proven paralegal experience with familiarity in litigation processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective writing skills for legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and document review. Experience with legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems, document management systems, and clerical support. Strong project management abilities; capable of coordinating deadlines and supporting complex litigation or legal projects. Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette; ability to interview clients professionally.

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
