The firm has a robust caseload against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies in multiple industries. Focusing on the prosecution of employment and consumer class and representative actions, involving wage-and-hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and other employment matters. The firm has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of thousands of employees in California. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorney(s) by filing legal documents in various state and federal courts, managing the daily calendar, drafting correspondence, interacting with court staff, assisting attorneys, and assisting the managing attorney in ensuring firm quality control. Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling documents Professionally communicate with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts Support our attorneys in all phases of litigation Manage and calendar court deadlines Propound and respond to discovery Maintain organized case files Responsibilities or duties may change based on needs of the Firm 3+ years of civil litigation experience Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters Ability to act independently and in a team-based environment Strong written and oral communication skills Confident in a paperless work environment Knowledge of e-Filing and California rules Familiarity with California discovery rules Meticulous attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Type at least 40 wpm. Spanish proficiency preferred
Computer/Software Knowledge:
Must have proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Zoom, and Teams, and experience working with a document management system.
