We are looking for an experienced Part Time, as needed basis (2-6 hours a week) Paralegal to support a family law practice on a Contract basis. This opportunity is suited for a self-directed, detail-oriented individual who can manage active matters with minimal oversight while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The role is based in Florida, and remote work may be available for candidates with strong familiarity with Florida family law procedures and court filing standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, revise, and finalize a range of family law documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and related case materials. Assemble and organize required financial disclosures and supporting records to ensure matters are ready for review and filing. Submit legal documents through Florida's e-Filing Portal and verify compliance with applicable court procedures. Maintain well-structured case files by organizing pleadings, exhibits, discovery, and other important documentation. Communicate with clients to gather details and records needed to move cases forward efficiently. Support the discovery process by drafting requests and responses and coordinating document production. Monitor court dates, filing deadlines, and procedural requirements to keep each matter on track. Communicate effectively with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and other parties involved in family law matters. Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, mediation support, settlement organization, and general case readiness. Conduct legal and factual research to support case development and document preparation as needed. At least 3 years of paralegal experience, including direct work in family law matters. Working knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court filing expectations. Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings, motions, financial disclosures, and other legal documents accurately. Hands-on experience with Florida e-filing systems and related court submission processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and case priorities effectively. Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining high-quality output. Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and legal stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
