Description Our client, a leading national healthcare support organization, is seeking a Marketing & Intellectual Property Paralegal to join its in-house Legal Department. This is a unique opportunity to partner closely with marketing, brand, and business stakeholders while supporting a high-volume legal review environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable balancing legal risk management with practical business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative legal team supporting brand protection, marketing compliance, advertising review, and intellectual property initiatives for a large, multi-state organization. Key Responsibilities Review marketing, advertising, social media, promotional, and public-facing materials to help identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks. Support compliance with advertising, consumer protection, privacy, and related regulatory requirements, including disclosures, claims review, and substantiation. Partner with marketing and brand teams to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance. Assist with trademark portfolio management, including clearance searches, filings, renewals, maintenance, and enforcement matters. Evaluate branding and trade name proposals for potential conflicts and legal considerations. Serve as a resource for intellectual property questions related to marketing initiatives, branding activities, and business transactions. Maintain legal review processes, templates, and guidance materials to improve consistency and efficiency. Track marketing and intellectual property matters through established systems and workflows. Identify potential legal and brand-related risks and escalate issues as appropriate. Support special projects, reporting, and other Legal Department initiatives as needed. Requirements Qualifications Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 5+ years of paralegal experience, with significant exposure to marketing, advertising, branding, or intellectual property matters. Strong understanding of advertising, consumer protection, and intellectual property concepts. Experience partnering with marketing, communications, or brand teams. Experience supporting an in-house legal department is preferred. Healthcare, professional services, or other highly regulated industry experience is a plus.
