Watson Fowler, a criminal defense and personal injury firm in downtown Greenville, is hiring a Remote Part-Time Paralegal . This is a work-from-home position with a flexible 20-30 hour weekly schedule. You will support our attorneys on criminal defense and personal injury matters from case opening through resolution, managing files, preparing documents, and keeping cases moving. Prior paralegal experience is preferred but not required; we are glad to train a motivated, organized candidate who learns quickly and can be trusted with confidential work. Because the role involves weekly file pickups and occasional courthouse filings, candidates must live within reasonable driving distance of Greenville.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize, maintain, and manage physical and digital case files for criminal defense and personal injury matters. Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents and forms. Come by the office at 12 Whitsett Street, Greenville, SC 29601 once a week to pick up paper files and drop off completed work. Occasionally file documents in person at the Greenville County Courthouse and other local courthouses. Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and outside vendors.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay:
$2,000 per month base, plus incentive bonuses.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Prior work as a paralegal, legal assistant, or office administrator is preferred, particularly in criminal defense or personal injury, but not required for the right candidate.
Location:
Must live in or near Greenville, SC and have reliable transportation for weekly office visits and courthouse filings.
Technical Skills:
Comfortable with standard office software, digital file management, and learning new tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, discretion with confidential information, and the self-discipline to work independently from home.
