The Firm is looking for a hardworking and passionate paralegal to join our team! We are a boutique Construction Law Firm providing high end legal services to a diverse group of clients that consist of some of the most prominent general contractors, owners, developers, trade contractors and other construction professionals in town. Our practice spans both litigation and transactional work, including ongoing contract administration and negotiation for institutional clients. This involves managing and tracking a high volume of contracts across multiple active projects at once. We are focused on providing outstanding legal services and top-notch client service. Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work within DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms to route, track and manage document execution
- Assume responsibility for assigned projects and tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Manage multiple assignments and projects; prioritize to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written skills as you will be required to communicate with clients, paralegals, attorneys and the courts
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to execute job responsibilities independently and discreetly
- Ability to follow up on inquiries in a timely manner
- Reliability and a willingness to learn and be adaptable to change
- Must have a positive, outgoing personality with professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to work remotely
- Availability for occasional in-person meetings and project site visits as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a law firm environment is mandatory
- Prior experience working for litigation attorneys is mandatory
- Knowledge of e-filing in all courts, scheduling, and calendaring hearings
- Prior experience working for a construction law firm is preferred
- Strong computer skills, including experience with DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms
- Ideally, experience with both litigation support and transactional work, including monitoring and tracking a large volume of contracts
- Comfortable attending occasional in-person meetings and project site visits when needed
- Can establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with co-workers, assistants in other law firms, judicial assistants, and vendors
- Exhibits professionalism and ethical integrity
