This role provides Paralegal support to our attorneys and assists with various legal tasks. This position is responsible for case management, ordering medical records, completing assigned projects, and ensuring accuracy in all work produced. The ideal candidate is a team player who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Duties Include:
- Manage cases from pre-litigation through resolution, maintaining organized and up-to-date file status in SmartAdvocate software.
- Handle client communication throughout the life of the case, providing status updates and collecting necessary documentation, records, and information.
- Order, obtain, and review medical records and bills; follow up with providers to ensure timely receipt; and summarize records for attorney review.
- Investigate facts of cases by gathering police reports, photographs, witness information, and other relevant evidence.
- Coordinate with medical providers, experts, investigators, and other outside parties to advance case development.
- Draft legal documents including demand letters, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, and file documents in accordance with judicial procedures.
- Prepare and maintain organized case files, monitor deadlines and statutes of limitations, and assist with trial preparation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- 3 or more years of experience working as a paralegal managing cases in a high-volume personal injury firm required. OnderLaw offers competitive pay and a collaborative work environment.
