Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Defense Paralegal/Administrative Assistant with 4-5+ years of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while meeting monthly billing goals. Key Responsibilities Handle civil defense matters with minimal supervision Case intake and handling from admin status to potential litigation Organize case files, save emails/attachments, bates labeling Maintain strict calendaring deadlines Occasional attendance for arbitration or administrative hearings Review and analyze medical records, including preparation of medical chronologies and paid vs. incurred charts Draft claims reports, pleadings, including answers and motions E-file with state and federal courts Communicate effectively with clients, courts and opposing counsel Schedule depositions, mediations, arbitrations and hearings Bill time accurately and consistently to meet 65+ hours per month Experience & Requirements Minimum 4-5 years of insurance defense experience Must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion Strong knowledge of and federal court e-filing systems Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience defending law enforcement Benefits Hybrid work environment (1-2 days in office a week) Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance coverage 401(k) with employer matching Additional reimbursable expenses approved by firm management Generous paid vacation

From $60,000.00 per year
