Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Probate & Estate Paralegal with at least 8 years of Probate & Estate knowledge to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will assist attorneys with all aspects of estate administration, estate planning, and related legal matters. Your expertise will help ensure smooth case progression, accurate document management, and effective client communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your legal support skills and project management abilities will make a meaningful impact on clients' lives. Duties Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to estate planning, probate proceedings, and estate administration. Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development. Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems such as CLIO. Assist with client interviews by gathering necessary information and explaining procedural steps clearly and professionally. Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate estate settlement processes. Support attorneys in drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling large volumes of data entry, filing, and document management tasks. Requirements Proven paralegal experience (8 + years) with a focus on estate planning or probate law; familiarity with related areas such as family law or criminal defense is a plus, but not required. Strong knowledge of procedural law, estate law principles, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and trust administration procedures. Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with legal case management software like PCLaw is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for client interviews, written correspondence, and collaboration with team members. Experience working with legal administrative support tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), iManage, and document review systems. Knowledge of specialized areas such as environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law or workers' compensation law is advantageous but not required. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally; strong proofreading and legal writing skills are essential. This role would be hybrid initially and followed by in office beginning November, 2026.
