Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Probate Paralegal in a hybrid work environment, where your expertise will help streamline estate administration and probate processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients, providing vital support in managing complex probate cases. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient case progression, meticulous document handling, and comprehensive legal research, all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid schedule that balances office collaboration with remote work. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will contribute to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest standards of legal support. Duties Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration, including preparing petitions, inventories, and accountings Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Conduct legal research across various practice areas including estate planning, family law, tribal law, and civil litigation support Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision and clarity Interview clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather essential information for case development Review and analyze legal documents such as UCC law filings, securities law records, patent applications, and personal injury cases Coordinate with courts and external agencies to facilitate filings, hearings, and compliance requirements Support project management efforts by tracking case deadlines, court dates, and procedural law requirements to ensure timely case progression Handle data entry, filing, and document review tasks efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and organizing case materials Skills Proven experience as a paralegal supporting probate cases with knowledge of estate planning and procedural law Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools Familiarity with legal case management software such as iManage and PCLaw; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is essential Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette Knowledge of various practice areas including environmental law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, general & commercial litigation Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong proofreading and legal writing skills Experience in legal administrative tasks such as document drafting, proofreading, data entry, filing procedures, and document review processes Strong organizational skills paired with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently for optimal workflow management Join us if you're passionate about supporting impactful legal work in a collaborative environment!
