Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our small law firm. In this vital role, you will support a broad range of real estate transactions and legal matters, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with applicable laws. Your expertise will help facilitate property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects while maintaining meticulous legal documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a slower-paced environment where your skills in legal research, document management, and client communication will make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and manage real estate documents including contracts, title reports, deeds, leases, and closing statements. Conduct thorough legal research on property laws, zoning regulations, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and other relevant statutes. Assist with due diligence processes by reviewing title commitments, surveys, environmental assessments, and land use restrictions. Coordinate closings by preparing closing binders, facilitating document signing, and ensuring all procedural requirements are met efficiently. Maintain accurate case files using document management systems such as SoftPro adn Proform; ensure confidentiality of sensitive information at all times. Support project management efforts for large real estate transactions or development initiatives by tracking deadlines and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Draft correspondence and legal documents with precision; proofread for accuracy and clarity to uphold high standards of legal writing. Provide administrative support such as scheduling interviews with clients or witnesses, managing files, data entry, filing documents systematically, and handling phone inquiries professionally. Experience Proven paralegal experience supporting real estate law or related fields such as civil litigation support or commercial litigation. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, SoftPro and ProForm. Familiarity with environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining excellent organizational skills. Experience in drafting contracts and supporting complex negotiations in a fast-paced legal environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word processing), legal support tools like PCLaw or document review platforms; familiarity with data entry and clerical tasks is essential. Exceptional communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
