Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

This position provides administrative support for the Office of Attorney General. It provides secretarial/clerical duties using legal terminology, procedures and documents which includes: obtaining and providing information by telephone and in person in a professionally and courteously; maintaining composure, professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy during periods of peak workload, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities; greeting office guests in person in a professional, courteous, and exceptional customer-service; adapting established procedures to meet operational needs; typing, proofing, and/or finalizing confidential and sensitive letters, memo, legal documents and legal forms; other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
experience with secretarial and administrative support duties; dependable, friendly, approachable and positive attitude; ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner with the public and in an office environment; excellent telephone etiquette; independent work habits that keep them on track; ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision.
Knowledge of:

use Microsoft Office products effectively; use office technology, computerized information systems, and standard office software used to support administrative operations; type at a minimum of 60 words per minute.
Ability to:
work independently on assignments with accuracy; pass a background investigation.
