9/9/2026 This is a full-time position with the Office of the Attorney General. For more information on the Office of the Attorney General, please visit http://atg.sd.gov . This position provides administrative support for the attorneys at the Office of Attorney General. It provides secretarial/clerical duties using legal terminology, procedures and documents which includes: typing, proofing, and/or finalizing confidential and sensitive letters, memo, legal documents and legal forms; electronically filing legal documents in the South Dakota and District Courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals; researching information using various sources for legal documents, forms, etc.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
dependable, friendly, approachable and positive attitude; ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner with the public and in an office environment; excellent telephone etiquette; independent work habits that keep them on track; ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision.
Knowledge of:
office practices and procedures; excellent spoken and written English grammar.
Skills to:
use Microsoft Office products effectively; type at a minimum of 60 words per minute.
Ability to:
establish and maintain effective working relationship with office personnel; work independently on assignments with accuracy; pass a background investigation.
Additional Requirements:
