Litigation Paralegal - Real Estate & Probate Litigation Resolutions Law Firm - Hixson, Tennessee Full-Time | 3-5 Years of Litigation Paralegal Experience Preferred Resolutions Law Firm is a growing law firm serving clients in real estate, probate, estate planning, and related civil matters. We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal who is highly organized, dependable, client-focused, and ready to become an important part of our team. This is not simply a document-production position. We are looking for someone who can help manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, anticipate what needs to happen next, maintain exceptional organization, and provide clients with the level of communication and service they deserve. Experience with real property litigation and probate litigation is strongly preferred. What You Will Do The Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys in managing an active litigation caseload, including matters involving real estate disputes, probate and estate litigation, title issues, boundary and property disputes, landlord-tenant matters, partition actions, and other civil litigation.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Managing litigation files from opening through trial, settlement, or final disposition;
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests, subpoenas, correspondence, and other litigation documents;
  • Preparing and organizing written discovery and assisting attorneys with discovery responses;
  • Maintaining litigation calendars, court deadlines, discovery deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates;
  • Reviewing, organizing, and summarizing records, documents, exhibits, and evidence;
  • Assisting with deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation;
  • Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients regarding the status of their matters and information needed from them;
  • Coordinating with courts, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, title professionals, surveyors, appraisers, and other third parties;
  • Reviewing court filings and ensuring that deadlines and follow-up items are properly calendared and completed;
  • Assisting attorneys with probate litigation and contested estate matters;
  • Assisting with real property matters involving deeds, title issues, easements, partitions, boundary disputes, ownership disputes, and related litigation;
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough electronic client files; and
  • Helping ensure that every client receives responsive, professional, and exceptional customer service. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal;
  • Prior civil litigation experience;
  • Real estate, real property, title, and/or probate litigation experience strongly preferred;
  • Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, notices, and litigation correspondence;
  • Strong understanding of litigation deadlines and case-management procedures;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • The ability to manage multiple active matters and competing deadlines without losing track of important details;
  • The ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with attorneys and other staff;
  • Strong computer and document-management skills; and
  • A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service to every client.
