Bankruptcy Paralegal Specialist
Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Paralegal Specialist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bankruptcy law and possess strong organizational skills to support attorneys in all phases of bankruptcy cases.Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research on bankruptcy laws and procedures
- Communicate with clients, courts, and creditors regarding case status
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines for multiple cases simultaneously
- Prepare for hearings, trials, and meetings related to bankruptcy proceedings
- Draft correspondence and legal documents under attorney supervision
Skills:
- Proficiency in bankruptcy law procedures and documentation
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Experience with NextChapter or similar document management systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with other areas of law such as Personal Injury, Workers Comp, Social Security Disability is a plus
- Previous experience as a Paralegal with a focus on bankruptcy cases is preferred This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced attorney in a dynamic legal environment.

$20.00- $25.
