Position Summary Our 25-person downtown Memphis law firm is seeking a dependable, professional Legal Runner / Office Assistant. This entry-level position supports our attorneys and staff by making timely deliveries, filing documents, handling errands, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, courteous, and comfortable navigating downtown Memphis and the surrounding area. Because this position frequently represents the firm outside the office, professionalism and discretion are essential. Responsibilities Deliver and retrieve documents from courts, government offices, other law firms, clients, and local businesses File and obtain documents at courthouses and other agencies Collect and distribute mail, packages, and office deliveries Make bank, post office, and other business-related runs Copy, scan, organize, and file documents Protect confidential client and firm information Provide additional administrative support as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable attendance and punctuality Professional appearance and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to work independently while managing changing priorities Basic familiarity with email, smartphones, scanners, and office equipment Ability to lift and carry up to [25] pounds and perform duties involving walking, standing, and driving, with or without reasonable accommodation Previous law-office, courier, customer-service, or administrative experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Pay:
