Beaumont, Texas 77702 About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our insurance defense firm in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and be capable of supporting attorneys with case management, legal research, and document preparation. Key Responsibilities Assist attorneys in managing insurance defense cases from inception through resolution. Prepare, review, and organize legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence. Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information. Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation. Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines and court filings are met. Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence. Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials. Manage calendars and schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in an insurance defense firm. Strong knowledge of insurance defense litigation procedures and terminology. Proficient in legal research tools and case management software. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Associate's degree or paralegal certification preferred.
