Pay:
Negotiable based on experience Job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our legal team in a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have experience in a law office environment and possess strong skills in Civil Litigation (Preferably Defense). This role is essential in supporting attorneys with various legal tasks as follows: Maintain attorney calendar. Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents. Maintain accurate records of case files. Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date. Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for cases. Make sure docket control order deadlines are met. Prepare correspondence to clients regarding trial notices, docket control orders, etc. Prepare initial draft of reports for clients (initial evaluations, pre-mediation, pre-trial). Prepare initial draft of written discovery to plaintiffs. Prepare initial draft of client's written discovery responses. Order medical/billing records. Provide information to retained expert witnesses for their review. Prepare Mediation/Arbitration/Trial notebooks.
Skills:
Experience working in a law office setting is preferred. Familiarity with legal research tools (Lexis, Lexis Protégé AI) Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
