Job Description

We're Hiring:
BIA Appeals & Post-Decision Motions Paralegal Are you an experienced immigration paralegal who knows how to manage critical deadlines, complex filings, and multiple active matters with precision? Wannamaker Crimmigration Law is looking for a BIA Appeals & Post-Decision Motions Paralegal to join our Removal Defense / Appeals & Motions practice. This specialized role will help manage the lifecycle of BIA appeals, Motions to Reopen (MTR), and Motions to Reconsider (MTC) — from case intake and deadline calculation through filing, monitoring, and final case closure.
What You'll Do:
Manage critical BIA and Immigration Court filing deadlines Coordinate appeals, MTRs, and MTCs from intake through completion Prepare procedural filing documents and EOIR forms Coordinate drafting and filing workflows with contract and in-house attorneys Monitor pending matters, briefing schedules, decisions, and response deadlines Maintain organized case records and proof of filing and service Communicate with clients regarding documents and case status Escalate deadline, forum, and strategy issues requiring attorney review
What We're Looking For:
Experience in immigration removal defense or EOIR practice Working knowledge of BIA and Immigration Court procedures Familiarity with EOIR forms and ECAS Exceptional deadline-management and organizational skills Strong written communication skills Experience with legal case management systems
Preferred:
Direct BIA appeals, MTR, or MTC experience Experience coordinating with contract or outside counsel Bilingual Spanish/English Must be able to work in any of the following locations:
