Job Description

Family Law Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Texas Experience Required) The Wright Firm, LLP
  • Frisco, Texas The Wright Firm is a growing, technology-forward North Texas family law firm seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Family Law Legal Assistant / Paralegal who takes ownership of their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to excellence.
This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate is someone who can manage cases with minimal supervision, meet strict deadlines, and consistently produce accurate, high-quality work. What You Will Do Draft, review, and e-file legal documents in Texas courts, including petitions, answers, motions, orders, discovery, and financial documents under attorney supervision Manage a high-volume caseload, including tracking deadlines, court settings, and filings with precision Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, and trials, including organizing exhibits, evidence, and case materials Draft and assist with inventories, appraisements, discovery responses, and proposed orders Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Coordinate service of process in compliance with Texas rules Maintain highly organized and accurate case files in a deadline-driven environment Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion What Success Looks Like Deadlines are met without reminders Filings are accurate and compliant with Texas rules the first time Cases move forward efficiently with minimal attorney follow-up Clients and attorneys experience clear, professional communication You take initiative and proactively solve problems Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of Texas family law experience (required) Strong working knowledge of the Texas Family Code, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, and local court rules Experience with Texas e-filing systems Demonstrated ability to draft complex legal documents Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office and modern case management software Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Who This Is For Professionals who take pride in being extremely detail-oriented Individuals who thrive in a structured, deadline-driven environment Team members who want to grow, improve, and contribute to a high-performing firm Who This Is NOT For Candidates who require constant supervision or reminders Individuals who struggle with deadlines or organization Those looking for a slow-paced or low-accountability environment What We Offer Competitive salary: $55,000
