Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our law firm. This position plays a crucial role in managing and organizing legal and medical records efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.Responsibilities:
Efficiently order and retrieve medical records from various sources. Review and summarize various documents, including medical records and legal filings. Extract relevant information for internal use and legal proceedings. Perform civil and criminal background checks on involved parties. Document findings accurately and communicate results as necessary. Process and fulfill open records requests in compliance with regulations. Obtain certified driving records for individuals as needed. Maintain organized records and ensure timely delivery.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred. 2-3 years of previous experience in a legal environment or medical records management. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document review and summarization. Knowledge of legal terminology, document management, and compliance with legal regulations. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred Proficient computer skills, including experience with document management software and databases. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and external parties. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under pressure. Understanding of confidentiality requirements and adherence to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.Note:
