Job Description
OVERVIEW
: Rosing Davidson Frost law firm is looking to expand our team with a motivated and well-spoken legal assistant / paralegal. Ideal candidates will have a desire to pursue a meaningful career in law. We are a general practice law firm that focuses on real estate, business litigation, and family law, among other areas. Our benefits package highlights our commitment to our team.DUTIES:
- Provide legal support
- Assist attorneys with managing case load
- Prepare, format and draft correspondence, various pleadings, and legal documents
- Accurately file electronic legal pleadings
- Bates stamp documents
- Utilize legal software for a variety of uses
- Track billable time
- Monitor case deadlines
- Maintain electronic files
- Research
- Proofread
- Assemble trial exhibits and binders
- Respond to client requests and needs via email and telephone
- Participate in client meetings, hearings, and trials
- Effectively liaison with attorney and client
- Accurately organize voluminous exhibits/documents/other legal pleadings
- Maintain/create hard files
- Communicate professionally with third parties, including opposing attorneys, court staff, expert witnesses etc.
- Other tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or bachelor's degree required;
- 2 years of previous legal assistant or paralegal experience preferred;
- Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision;
- Excellent time management, problem solving and communication skills;
- Eagerness to learn and assist others as needed;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Professional demeanor;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; .
