Litigation Paralegal AV-Rated Trial Law Firm - Fairfax, Virginia An established AV-rated trial law firm with offices serving Fairfax and Prince William County is seeking an energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal with at least 1-2 years of law firm experience to join our team. Our practice focuses on personal injury and business litigation , including complex and catastrophic injury cases involving traumatic brain injuries, amputations, serious orthopedic injuries, commercial vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and other life-changing injuries. This is an opportunity for a paralegal who wants to do more than routine administrative work. You will work directly with attorneys and clients, become meaningfully involved in cases from intake through resolution or trial, and have the opportunity to learn, take on increasing responsibility, and grow with the firm. The Position You will work closely with our attorneys and clients and assist with all aspects of litigation, including: Preparing and organizing pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents; Assisting with discovery, including preparing discovery requests and responses and organizing document productions; Obtaining, organizing, and reviewing medical records, bills, employment records, and other case-related materials; Preparing cases for depositions, mediations, hearings, motions, and trials; Assisting attorneys with witness preparation and client interviews; Communicating directly with clients, insurance companies, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, courts, and other parties; Maintaining case files and ensuring deadlines and case requirements are properly calendared and completed; Preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, medical summaries, chronologies, and other litigation materials; Conducting factual and legal research as directed by attorneys; and Providing hands-on litigation support throughout the life of a case. Because we handle significant litigation and catastrophic injury matters, our paralegals are an important part of the litigation team.
