Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Open and organize new litigation matters, assemble case files, and prepare materials for attorney assessment and strategy discussions.
- Maintain active communication with clients and other parties to gather updates, relay information, and support ongoing case progress.
- Manage litigation calendars by tracking court dates, depositions, hearings, discovery deadlines, and other critical events in both state and federal matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and related legal documents for attorney review and filing.
- Review and summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and case-related documentation to support litigation strategy and case evaluation.
- Request, monitor, and compile records from medical providers and other third parties, while keeping chronologies and case documentation current.
- Prepare subpoenas, demand packages, hearing exhibits, and document productions for delivery to the court, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, medical professionals, and service providers for examinations, records reviews, and other case support activities.
- Assist with settlement preparation, mediation support, and trial readiness by organizing evidence, exhibits, and key case materials.
- Conduct legal and factual research using electronic research platforms and other available resources to assist attorneys with case development.
