Job Description
Experienced Legal Assistant The Company Meub Associates, PLC is a small law firm in Rutland, Vermont, dedicated to meeting the many different legal needs of individuals, organizations, and businesses throughout Southern Vermont. Our firm uses a unique team approach so we can provide all of our clients with exceptional legal work and individual support. Our firm strives to have a collegial atmosphere with attorneys and support staff working together to produce a superior legal product and client relations. The Position The Legal Assistant will join a team of three attorneys and support staff that work closely together in a small but busy law firm. The Legal Assistant will generally be assisting attorneys on legal matters ranging from transactional work, real estate, probate proceedings, and civil litigation matters and the work will include document preparation and drafting, filing court pleadings and documents, updating and maintaining client files, scheduling, and other general office duties. Qualifications
- General Computer Skills, including experience with MS Office, MS Word, Adobe, and other common business software
- Self-directed and able to prioritize and manage a busy workload
- Detail-Oriented
- Motivated
- Adaptable/Flexible
- Reliable An ideal candidate will have approximately 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, however, candidates with less experience are still encouraged to apply and will be considered.
Schedule / Hours
- Monday - Friday, 8:30PM - 5:00PM, 1-hour lunch break Compensation/Benefits
- $20+ based on education and prior experience.
