Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Well-established boutique law firm in the downtown Everett area is seeking a full-time paralegal who has a demonstrated interest in working in a fast-paced law firm environment and team-oriented culture. Position available now. Our firm's major practice areas include family law, adoptions, estate planning and probate, in addition to other civil matters, including civil litigation. The paralegal will perform administrative office tasks and assist attorneys with legal work in the preparation of legal documents and client correspondence. The following skills are required to excel in this role:

  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) with ability to adapt to other software programs
  • Superb time management and demonstrated ability to work under pressure due to time sensitive deadlines
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks or projects
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively on a daily basis
  • The ability to receive constructive feedback, be flexible to learn new things, and implement changes to improve productivity and produce excellent work product.

  • Ability to conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in case preparation Administrative tasks include answering phones, greeting guests, monitoring mail, managing office supplies, making photocopies, and scheduling appointments.
The paralegal in this position will generally assist one or two attorneys in the area of family law. A minimum of 2 years of Family law experience required. Experience with Clio (our calendaring and billing program) a plus. Benefits include vacation, sick, 401k with 401k matching, and medical benefits provided.
