Through continued growth and a commitment to excellence, we have expanded our practice to 11 states and remain dedicated to delivering exceptional legal representation and results for our clients. As our Firm continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our fast-paced legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys while serving as a critical review and escalation point for legal correspondence and pleadings that contain high-risk or time-sensitive matters in a high-volume environment. Compensation, Benefits & Other $30- $40/hour, depending on experience Medical and Dental Insurance (subsidized) 401(k) with 6% Company Match Paid Time Off (4.61 hours accrued/pay period worked) Paid Holidays (5-6 annually) Subsidized Gym Membership (Bellevue, WA location) Free Parking About the Role Receive direct training from and report to one of our Lead Attorneys Support legal operations through the review, analysis, and routing of incoming legal correspondence, court pleadings, and case-related documentation Identify and escalate legal matters requiring specialized handling or attorney review Ensure matters are accurately classified, promptly routed , and handled in accordance with firm policies, client requirements, and legal obligations Ensure incoming documents are reviewed and processed within one business day . Play a key role in mitigating risk by recognizing time-sensitive, complex, and high-priority legal issues Key Responsibilities Review incoming mail , including court filings (answers, motions, etc.), correspondence (from consumers, attorneys, third-parties), and other case-related documents - handling and updating the case system according to policy and procedure. Identify and appropriately route written correspondence with language that needs special handling by specific departments : disputes, fraud allegations, discovery requests and responses Recognize and escalate matters requiring attorney involvement : Appeals, Counterclaims, Direct lawsuits, Sanctions, Self-harm or threat-related communications, Other legal issues presenting elevated risk to the Firm or its clients Qualifications Paralegal Certificate required Previous paralegal experience required ; litigation experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of court pleadings, legal terminology, and procedural requirements Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills Ability to identify legal issues and exercise sound judgment regarding escalation Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to review, analyze, and accurately process large volumes of legal correspondence while maintaining attention to detail
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 - 41.0 per week
