In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex civil litigation cases across various practice areas. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth progression of cases from inception through resolution, providing essential support to attorneys and clients alike. Successful candidates should have at least two years of experience in civil litigation defense, a legal environment supporting an attorney or a judge, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Employees receive a monthly parking stipend as part of Paine Hamblen's benefits package. Duties Assist attorneys in drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses; Manage calendars, including court deadlines, scheduling orders, hearings, depositions, and trial dates; Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts; Summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and other case-related materials, including the preparation of medical chronologies; Organize and maintain case files, coordinate document review and production, and track discovery obligations; Assist with hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks; and Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and third-party vendors. Exceptional organizational skills paired with effective time management to meet tight deadlines consistently. Perform other duties as necessary.
Pay:
$37.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
