In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex civil litigation cases across various practice areas. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth progression of cases from inception through resolution, providing essential support to attorneys and clients alike. Compensation:
$37 - $40 hourly
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses; Manage calendars, including court deadlines, scheduling orders, hearings, depositions, and trial dates; Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts; Summarize deposition transcripts, medical records, and other case-related materials, including the preparation of medical chronologies; Organize and maintain case files, coordinate document review and production, and track discovery obligations; Assist with hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks; and Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and third-party vendors. Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of litigation paralegal experience required; Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, filing requirements, and case management practices; Experience drafting, reviewing, and managing pleadings, discovery, and other litigation-related documents; Excellent attention to detail, proofreading skills, and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment; Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines; Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with document management systems is preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel; and Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a legal team.
