Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Criminal defense firm is seeking a Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join their busy firm. Proficient in Word and Excel is required. Excellent typing and keyboard skills are required. Knowledge of PCLaw and My Case legal software is a plus. Applying candidate must be a team player, well organized and have strong keyboard and computer skills. Experience in criminal defense and personal injury is beneficial. Professional phone etiquette required. Pay to commensurate with education and experience. Willing to train the ideal candidate, but a paralegal degree or experience in a legal setting is preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
