A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Paralegal/Claims Processor $22-24 per hour dependent on experience. This is a full time position with an expectation of 40 hours per week. Work will be completed in our Lander office. This office operates on 10 hour shifts so each employee gets three days per week off. Primary tasks of this position are to interview clients for basic health and work history information, complete claim forms, communicate with government agencies regarding claim status, and assist clients in understanding each step of a claim process. Requires excellent phone/customer service skills, ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks, ability to draft simple letters and respond to written requests for information in a professional manner, working knowledge of MS word and excel, and immaculate organization skills. This is a feel good job knowing you are assisting elderly individuals in need.

  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to handle high volume work load
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to handle high volume of calls
  • Medical Record background is greatly encouraged
