A Parking Enforcement Officer enforces municipal parking regulations. Patrols city streets and public parking lots, monitors parking meters, issues tickets or warnings where cars are parked illegally or where the parking fee has not been paid.

Expected Responsibilities:
Raise, lower, and fold flags Use portable radio communication equipment Patrol interior and exterior facilities (as directed) Provide site traffic control Patrol parking lots/parking structures Parking lot/parking structure traffic control Protect vehicles from vandalism or theft while on County property Monitor and record readings of various meters Enforce parking rules, including issuing warnings and citations Maintain keys as issued Lock and unlock doors and gates Provide crowd control Provide individual control Control access to facilities (sign in & sheets, verify identifications, etc.) Operate security alarm equipment Monitor and escort contractors throughout Client Property In case of an emergency: Activating fire alarm equipment Initiate emergency evacuation procedures Perform fire watch Contact law enforcement or emergency services/first responders agencies, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Experience with critical infrastructure (Hospitals) Valid CA Guard Card Valid CA Firearm permit PC 832 certification CA Driver's license Pass a background check and drug screening Open availability mainly for Swing/Grave Reliable transportation
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Speak, read, and write English. Have a minimum of three (3) years of private security, law enforcement, or relevant military experience.
