Week 1:
Monday and Tuesday:
6:00 AM-6:00
PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday:
12:00 PM-8:00 PM Week 2:
Wednesday, and Thursday:
12:00 PM-8:00 PM There is a mandatory unpaid 1-hour lunch break each shift. This schedule alternates on a rotating two-week basis. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Paraprofessional work providing support and specialized enforcement for the Parking Enforcement Division within the Cape Coral Police Department. Under the general supervision of the Sergeant assigned to the division, performs research, investigative, enforcement, and follow-up duties on parking violations for the City. Issues notices of violation and parking citations for non-compliance with parking regulations. Prepares and processes cases for administrative review or hearings as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A
high school diploma or GED is required, and one (1) year of vocational work experience in enforcement, investigation, or customer service. Must satisfactorily complete approved training, when scheduled, to become a Parking Enforcement Specialist, as outlined in city code §12-127 within six (6) months of hire. Must satisfactorily complete the CJSTC approved course for Parking Enforcement Specialist within six (6) months of hire. Must possess a valid state driver's license upon hire and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire.
