Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Parking Enforcement Officer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, accessible, and compliant parking environments across our community. This energetic position involves monitoring parking areas, enforcing parking regulations, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors and residents. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help foster orderly traffic flow and uphold environmental standards. Responsibilities Enforce parking regulations by issuing citations for violations such as expired permits, improper parking, or unauthorized parking. Conduct regular patrols of designated parking areas to monitor compliance and ensure safety protocols are followed. Assist the public with parking inquiries, providing clear information on regulations and available resources. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents or emergencies, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of citations issued, observations made, and interactions with the public using proper documentation procedures. Support environmental compliance initiatives by monitoring for hazards related to stormwater management, stormwater runoff, and environmental permitting requirements. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during outdoor work to ensure safety in all weather conditions. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience preferred; ability to work in various weather conditions is essential. Knowledge of traffic laws, parking regulations, and environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act or Resource Conservation and Recovery Act is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse community members. Excellent writing skills for completing reports, citations, and documentation accurately and clearly. Ability to follow safety protocols including OSHA standards, fire safety procedures, and traffic control safety protocols. Familiarity with environmental regulatory compliance projects or permitting phases involving environmental law is beneficial.
