" Under general supervision, supervises a moderately large group of parking meter repair personnel engaged in installing, servicing and repairing parking meters and parking control devices. Assign work to repair personnel. Advise on difficult or unusual repair work. Inspect work in progress and upon completion. Analyze material and labor requirements and prepare cost estimates. Order materials and supplies. Coordinate meter and sign installations with the appropriate city departments including DPW and DDOT. Instruct employees on departmental policies and repair activities. Review and evaluate work performance of repair personnel. Administer discipline and participates in the employee grievance process. Participate in meetings with various city departments and others relative to parking meter installation, service and utilization. High School Diploma or GED, preferably with coursework in general shop. Three (3) years of experience in mechanical and machine repair, preferably with timing mechanisms, and including one (1) year of supervisory experience.
