Position Details Posting Summary College VP Business And Finance-DIV Executive Area VP Business And Finance Department Public Safety Posting Detail Information Posting Number S1666P Job Type Full Time, Regular Pay Type Nonexempt/Hourly Pay Grade D Campus Location WMU-Kalamazoo - Main Campus Salary Range Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience, combined with an excellent benefits package. General Summary Distributes parking permits to University community. Provides information to customers on University parking rules and regulations, and collects parking ticket payments. Major Duties Distributes parking permits to the University community. Assists with parking registration for students, employees and visitors. Assists campus departments with parking event logistics, including towing and other emergency vehicle and parking issues. Utilizes the State of Michigan Law Enforcement Information Network system within established regulations to verify vehicle registration and ownership. Processes Bronco identification cards for students, employees and visitors, including taking photos, issuing cards and establishing accounts. Assists with technology and equipment related to identification cards. Accepts payments for parking tickets. Reconciles cash received and prepares bank deposits. Answers customer questions in person concerning parking rules, regulations and directions on campus. Utilizes computer system and software for cash handling, reporting and journal entry processes. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One years' relevant experience. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software. Experience with using and querying databases and entering tracking budget data. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends. Physical requirements and working conditions Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds. Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
