In this role, you will interact with clients and the public, support evidence-based programming, monitor client activities, maintain accurate records, and perform a variety of clerical and operational duties. Working collaboratively with Probation staff and community partners, you will also contribute to the department's mission of promoting accountability, rehabilitation, and positive behavior change.

Minimum Qualifications Experience and Education:

Any combination of education and/or training which would provide an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed herein. Normally, completion of academic course work in sociology, psychology, counseling, social work, criminology, administration of justice or closely related field; OR one year's experience working in a law enforcement, public safety, or social services agency.

License:

Possession of a valid driver's license. A Class B driver's license may be required for some assignments and must be obtained prior to the first day of work. The positions advertised in this announcement require possession of a valid California driver's license.

Background Requirement:

For some assignments, incumbents shall not have been convicted of a felony in this state or any other state or in any federal jurisdiction, or of any offense in any other state or in any federal jurisdiction, which would have been a felony if committed in this state, nor be under current formal probation supervision. Candidates convicted of a felony over twenty years ago may be considered for certain assignments.
