A Probation Officer or Correctional Treatment Specialist supervises criminal offenders who have been placed on probation as part of a court sentence. Meets with offenders and families, monitors activities, and checks to see that the terms of the probation are being followed. Arranges social services for the offender such as drug rehab or job training; writes reports and recommendations to the court.

Full Time Yorkville, IL Kendall County Sheriff's Office Salary:
$49,304.06Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred areas of study/experience are Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields.
- At least two (2) years of prior work experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Must be proficient in use of computers and in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Must fulfill education and experience requirements as defined by the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts Hiring List.
