Job Description

Crisis and intake clinician needed to join our team in Paw Paw, just 20 minutes west of Kalamazoo. The Access Clinician provides intake, psychosocial assessment, and crisis response service(s) for customers in need of or requesting agency services in Van Buren County. Van Buren Community Mental Health provides services to adults with severe & persistent mental illness, children with severe emotional disturbance, and individuals with developmental disabilities in Van Buren County. Access Clinicians:
Provide & document intake, psychosocial assessment and crisis response services. Link, coordinate, and monitor intake, assessment & crisis services within and between affected programs, community agencies, foster care homes, or skilled nursing facilities. Provide crisis services to other community agencies, such as schools, hospitals, police departments, jails, etc. Develop initial service plans, including exit criteria, and present recommendations to the treatment team.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Master's degree with appropriate licensure. LMSW preferred. Demonstrated diagnostic and case reporting skills and ability to respond to crisis situations in a positive manner. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including ability to be punctual, manage time and crisis situations flexibly & effectively, and demonstrate good judgment. Ability to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Record system. Full-time position (37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm, Mon-Fri).
