(RYI) seeking a dynamic and dedicated Youth Service Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate role is to work closely with the Department of Youth Services (DYS) case management team to ensure that youth who are involved with the juvenile justice system are connected to services which align with their identified needs, strength and assessed level of risk. They will work with the caseworkers to develop and support the most effective approach to community and supervision and service coordination. Duties
  • Provides support to the DYS casework staff in the execution, implementation and coordination of appropriate services and activities related to the needs and strengths of each youth.
  • Monitor relevant budgets
  • Organize and execute community activities for youth and their families
  • Assists in maintaining on-site security
  • Attend all relevant meetings
  • Providing excellent documentation and proactively shares with all stakeholders.
  • Data entry and management Develop and implement youth programs that promote social skills, educational achievement, and personal growth.
Conduct motivational interviewing sessions to encourage positive behavioral change among youth. Collaborate with law enforcement officers to coordinate juvenile interventions and crisis management strategies. Manage case files and documentation using Microsoft Office tools, ensuring accurate report preparation and record keeping. Interview clients to assess needs, risks, and eligibility for various social services or juvenile justice programs. Apply knowledge of criminal law, procedural law, and juvenile justice system procedures during client interactions and court proceedings. Provide crisis management support during emergencies or behavioral incidents involving youth. Facilitate communication between clients, families, social services agencies, and court personnel to ensure comprehensive case management. Conduct courtroom procedures related to juvenile cases when necessary, including report presentation and client testimony. Handle firearms responsibly in law enforcement-related activities when applicable; ensure adherence to safety protocols. Maintain confidentiality while working within legal terminology standards; prepare detailed reports for case review or court submissions. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Required
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the juvenile justice, child welfare, behavioral health or demonstrably related field
  • Must have proficient with computers Must have a valid driver's license
