May give instruction on emotional and mental health issues, and life skills on an individual basis as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts therapeutic group and individual counseling. Completes client psychosocial assessments, develops and revises client treatment plans. Conducts weekly client progress assessments and any reports on client status and activities as required. Attends and participates in regular treatment team meetings with Specialty Court and legal personnel and provides input regarding client progress, compliance, and prognosis. Conducts substance abuse education as described by program. Conducts personal and social adjustment training as described by program. Develops referral linkages with community resources. Adheres to licensure standards/rules governing confidentiality. Maintains client files with comprehensive documentation of all treatment activities. Performs grant performance reporting as required and coordinates with Grant Writers as needed. Coordinate with third party treatment providers to obtain Releases of Informations and care. Attends staff meetings and training sessions as required. Conducts self in a professional manner with colleagues in the criminal justice system, with offenders, with victims, and with the public. Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Knowledge of general office operations and records maintenance; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; must possess a solid understanding of the dynamics of the disease of addiction and various program types pertinent to the addictive personality; ability to work in stressful situations; knowledge of English, spelling, and grammar. Ability to perform work responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner; ability to work independently and meet regular deadlines; ability to establish and maintain satisfactory and professional relationships; ability to make rational, justifiable decisions; ability to operate a variety of office equipment and computer software. Skill in oral/written communication and interpersonal relations.

Physical Requirements and Work Setting:

Works in a variety of settings, indoors and occasionally outdoors; may be subject to extreme weather temperatures and inclement weather conditions; regular periods of sitting, walking, standing, bending, and reaching; occasional lifting up to 45 lbs; visual acuity, hearing ability, and manual dexterity required. Education and/or

Experience Required:

Possess LCDC or LPC. Salary requirements may change based on licensure.

Desired Qualifications:

Possession of LMSW, LCSW or LPC-A is desirable.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have a valid Drivers License, motor vehicle liability insurance, personal liability insurance and a personal vehicle. Additional Requirements Cannot be currently on community service or parole or serving a sentence for a criminal offense. Persons with past convictions or criminal justice supervision will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Must be able to pass an alcohol and controlled substance screening.
