Job Duties:

The position is responsible for the management and oversight of the Athens and Tyler District Parole Offices and is housed at the Tyler District Parole Office. Day to day responsibilities include reviewing and approving activities of Unit Supervisors and Parole Officers; reviewing parole investigations and release plans and reports; coordinating case assignments; conducting case analyses; and supervising the work of others. You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, have 4 years of case management experience, and 2 years experience in supervising employees. You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, have 4 years of case management experience, and 2 years experience in supervising employees. You have knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, and practices of parole case management. You have knowledge of agency and departmental organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. You have experience with training, coaching, and/or staff development. You have experience with technical review or program evaluation.

• Must maintain a valid drivers license.
• Must meet and maintain Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS) access eligibility.
• Must have or be able to obtain a certificate of course completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedure training from the Texas Department of Public Safety within 6 months of employment date.
