Job Description
About Ritual Ritual is a personal health brand that is raising the bar for daily wellness. Known for our best-selling, clinically backed prenatal, we create science-backed supplements with transparency at their core. We believe women deserve products they can trust, backed by real evidence—not just promises. We started by reinventing the multivitamin with the first visible supply chain of its kind. Today, we're expanding into new categories with the same high standards that built our reputation. Hundreds of thousands trust Ritual, and we're growing fast. Our team of 120+ scientists, creatives, and skeptics is raising the bar for women's health. We're venture-backed, based in sunny Los Angeles, and always looking for people ready to challenge the industry—and do the best work of their careers. About the role We're looking for a Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs to lead our regulatory function and compliance strategy across dietary supplement and consumer health product lines. This is a high-ownership role. You'll report directly to the Director of Legal & Strategy, lead the regulatory team, and serve as a critical cross-functional partner to Legal, R&D, Innovation, Marketing, Quality, and Operations. You bring deep knowledge of FDA regulations governing dietary supplements, strong instincts for risk, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance. You're as comfortable building infrastructure as you are navigating a thorny claims question on a tight timeline. What you'll do Regulatory Leadership Lead regulatory strategy and submissions for new and existing dietary supplement products, including structure/function claims substantiation, label review, and 75-day notifications to FDA. Monitor and interpret evolving FDA, FTC, and international regulations (Health Canada, EU) to proactively identify compliance risks and translate them into internal guidance and SOPs. Manage and lead regulatory team members, providing oversight on day-to-day tasks, professional development guidance, and quality review of deliverables. Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with R&D, Innovation, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to provide proactive regulatory guidance throughout the product development and launch lifecycle. Collaborate with Marketing and Legal on product claims, advertising compliance, and go-to-market strategy, ensuring regulatory rigor without slowing down the business. Serve as the regulatory voice in product launch processes, flagging issues early and bringing solutions, not just problems. Proactively manage team capacity, anticipating bandwidth constraints, redistributing workload, and communicating trade-offs before they become obstacles for cross-functional partners. Compliance Infrastructure Build and maintain regulatory documentation, SOPs, and internal guidance frameworks that scale with Ritual's growth. Ensure labeling, packaging, and marketing materials meet all applicable regulatory requirements before launch. Drive continuous improvement in how we manage regulatory risk across the product lifecycle. Who you are You thrive at the intersection of science, compliance, and business. You give clear, well-reasoned guidance — not just citations. You see regulatory constraints as design inputs, not roadblocks. You're a strategic partner, not a gatekeeper.
