Position Description:
xManages air/ground/industrial safety programs forassigned locations and shifts IAW PWS/federal/state/local/company guidance. xDemonstrates a continuous effort to improve safety operations, eliminate mishaps, and protect people, resourcesand government property.xDevelops, demonstrates and promotes a safety culture while maintaining compliance, quality and a professionalismatmosphere. xEnsures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to contract operations.xDemonstrates a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety, and quality control procedures in an Army/USAF aviation environment (preferred). xMaintains accident/mishap and incident records, conducts safety audits/inspections, and promotes the Safety Management System (SMS).xManages key EHS programs and serves as the designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these programs. xConducts investigations and completes all required reports for aircraft accidents/mishaps which is used to determine the root cause and develop sustainable corrective actions.xProvides technical support to include, data gathering/analysis, training, and correspondence with both internal and external customers. xCompletes CDRL reports, conducts safety briefings/training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.xProduces quality work, meets all suspense dates, and manages EHS programs and job responsibilities in a compliant, timely, and professional manner.xReports/investigates aircraft accidents/mishaps to determine the cause of the accident and formulate recommendations to help prevent future occurrences.xProvides technical support, such as data gathering, training, and correspondence with internal and external customers. xDevelops reports, conducts briefings, provides safety training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.
Additional Requirements:
xHigh School Diploma mandatory.xBachelor's Degree in Safety (experience, training and certifications considered).oGraduate of one of the following: U.S. Army Aviation Safety Officer Program, Naval and Marine Aviation Safety Officer Course, or the U.S. Air Force Flight Safety Officer Course and five years of experience managing and administering a safety program.

ORxGraduate of one of the following: U.S. Army Ground Safety Officer Course, U.S. Army Aviation Safety NCO Course, Naval Aviation Safety Specialist Course, U.S. Air Force 1S0X1 (Journeyman (5-Skill) level or higher certification) Course, American National Standards Institute (ASI) accredited U.S. Army CP-12 Program,and three years of prior experience managing and administering a safety program. xMust be able to attain/sustain security clearance as required by PWS. xMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
