The retail food safety compliance team leads the development and maintenance of food safety operations strategy, ensuring safe food delivery to customers and members. This team supports associates, stores, and clubs by providing guidance on compliance and regulatory requirements. They monitor laws and policies, identify risks, and develop strategies to address compliance gaps. The team fosters collaboration and clear communication to uphold high standards of governance and ethics. Lead compliance and ethics initiatives by monitoring regulations, addressing inquiries, and updating policies to ensure alignment with legal requirements. Develop and execute strategies to identify and mitigate compliance risks, including gap analyses and regulatory forecasting. Manage research on regulatory trends and proposed legislation, providing expert analysis and recommendations to senior leadership. Oversee data management programs to track legislation and regulatory developments impacting the business. Drive business plans by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and measuring performance to achieve compliance objectives. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Promote adherence to company policies and ethical standards through training and communication. Proven ability to lead compliance risk management initiatives, including policy development and gap analysis. Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey compliance information and influence senior leadership. Expertise in analyzing regulatory trends and managing legislative impact assessments.
