Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with OSHA, USACE, and contract safety requirements Conduct daily safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety orientations Identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors immediately Maintain all required safety documentation, logs, and reports Coordinate with Government Safety Officers, Quality Assurance Representatives (QARs), and project leadership Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; implement corrective actions Ensure subcontractor compliance with all safety requirements and site-specific plans Support project teams in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized job site Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SSHO on federal construction projects Direct experience working with USACE (Army Corps of Engineers) projects strongly preferred In-depth knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA safety standards Current
